Avery Lee is originally from the Bay Area, then moved to Chicago, and then LA. He’s performed at UCB, with the Harold team GAG. And in Chicago he performed at iO and Annoyance, and with The Second City Touring Company. He also wrote and performed at The Paper Machete, and with the Asian-American comedy group Stir Friday Night. Avery became the Artistic Director of Stir Friday Night, and then Executive Director. Some of their previous alumni include Danny Pudi, and Steven Yeun.

Avery has appeared on Comedy Central’s South Side, as an inventor of liquid condoms. And in Rupert Wyatt’s Captive State, where he cut alien tracking devices out of people’s necks. He was also in a national holiday campaign for Overstock.com, featuring Mike Ditka and a reindeer.

He also co-created Bobby & Iza, with Bobby Richards. They sold a pilot to NBC, and executive produced a pilot presentation and short digital series with them.
